The platform’s initial launch was scheduled for July 2024, suggesting it faced a couple of months of delay. The contract duration will run for four months with an optional three-month extension if needed, which is likely because of testing for the readiness and reliability of the system.
Finally, any citizen can easily download Malaysia’s MyDigital ID app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. The registration process is simple and involves no hassles of visiting physical kiosks.
